Primarily self-taught, much of Gail Daley’s art instruction came from her mother and aunt, both of whom were artists, and she credits lessons on Public Television for helping hone her artistic style and perfect her technique.
Proudly calling herself an "Americana" artist, Gail concentrates on the interconnected relationship between man and nature, and the strong bond between humans and animals. Simple images of everyday life, hunting, western, and historical themes dominate her canvases. In Addition, she has a prolific body of Fantasy and Science Fiction art, and has won awards for her animal portraits. She also accepts commissions for a variety of different types of paintings.
Having experimented with every medium, Gail prefers to work in Acrylics for its versatility and fast drying properties. She resides in Clovis, California with her husband, son and an assortment of dogs and cats. She also maintains affiliations with three local art associations, and has started a non-profit organization (Artique) which is designed to find or create venues for local artists to sell their work with fellow artist Lea Adams.
ARTIST
Nina E. Gagnebin
Publicity
Nina has been interested in the arts for as long as she can remember. She has drawn, painted and crafted her whole life. She began with oil painting and is now totally immersed in watercolor. She has been fortunate to be taught by local artist, Sue Porter, for many of her classes.
Nina is an active member of the Alliance of California Artists (ACA), the Clovis Art Guild (CAG), and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce Arts Committee.
She enjoys painting carefree and beautiful things that she sees in her day to day living. Things that surround her country home, and treasures from within it, are often her subjects.
Mary Lou is a native of Fresno who began taking oil painting classes thirty-five years ago. Several years ago she decided to paint with pastels where she discovered, to her delight, that the whole canvas became a complete painting with colors blending. At this time Marylou is studying watercolor and is mastering that, also. Marylou is very active in the art scene in the Valley with membership in the Clovis Art Guild, Fresno Art Museum, Fresno Metropolitan Museum, Alliance of California Artists, Porterville Art Association, Kingsburg Arts Center, and the Sunnyside Garden Club. She is a signature member of SWA and ACA. She has judged many shows and is very active in the 4H arts and crafts at the yearly Fresno Fair. Marylou's awards are too numerous to list here. Suffice to say she is a talented, creative woman who loves art and is a leader in the art scene in the Valley and beyond.
