2007 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
On August 24, three of our Board Members, Penny Buller, Carole Love Forbes, and Roberta Davis attended a scholarship banquet held at Fresno City College where they were able to meet and talk with our scholarship recipient, Brian Carter.Brian hopes to graduate from City College in the spring with the help of our $1000 scholarship.He is a very nice young man, 25 years old, second year student with a GPA of 3.92.We were all very pleased with him.We were able to see some of his artwork at City College before deciding upon our recipient and it was very clear to us all that he does know how to draw and paint.He was invited to attend our General Meeting on September 8 and to bring some of his artwork.This is a fulfillment of the mission statement of the Alliance of California Artists, to educate and stimulate artistic and professional development for artists.It is our wish that through our fund raising efforts we can continue to offer the FCC scholarship in years to come.
